MLM Vs Online Markreting

One of if not the biggest downfall to Multi Level Marketing is simply this...

Not Plugging Into the System as it was designed to sell the actual product they offer!

What normally happens is this. People get all wrapped up in the recruiting side of an MLM Company and the idea that you need product sales to actually keep things legal and legit ...kinda gets brushed aside.

The Fix? ... Auto-ship!

Yes the ever popular auto-ship programs makes your business appear to have product moving through it and with the occasional sale to a family member of friend you are good to go...just keep showing the plan. Your members become your customers.

Whooops! ... In the words of the famous Willy Wonka ..."Strike That! Reverse It!

Let's re-evaluate that statement ... "Your membership becomes your best customers?"

What we should always be thinking is this - "Your Customers Become Your Best Team Members!"

Now before you get all stressed out... I'm not beating up on the MLM Industry. Some of my best online friends operate a business with an MLM platform. Thousands of people have been and still continue to be very successful with an MLM style business.

The point here is when you "STP" make sure to do it in the right order ... #1) Sell The Product - #2) Show The Plan and then you will be able to -  #3) Stuff The Pockets!

OK so I'm done beating up on the MLM fans let's look at the Online Marketing folks as well.

Not a lot of difference ...most if it is all "Join my program and make X amount of dollar$ in just a few weeks or days!   Oh Joy!  ... I'm Rich!

Look - My business model ( Elite Marketing Pro) is a platform designed to help people in the MLM / Direct sales industry develop online traffic and leads for there preferred business. The life blood of any business.

Yes we have an exceptional pay plan with a superior system to teach learn and earn... But... I do not make a big deal out of the memberships.

I'm looking to solve the problem of generating leads for business owners!

You already have a platform to make money from so I want to sell the "product" EMP offers that helps you grow that business model....Not take you away from it.

AND... Just like the MLM business model many of our "customers" tend to become full fledged members of EMP.

It all fits together very well and this team approach can lead  to another successful line of income.

[Side note - We do focus efforts on MLM business owners, as they are plentiful, and most are not taught the methods we use for successful online marketing. We also help people in direct sales, Ecommerce and even traditional brick and mortar business owners.]

With all that said we do need to address the problems of people not having enough money..or having jobs / careers that they would rather find something to replace it with. Yes, the MLM / Direct Sales platforms can provide that solution... however most people are defensive and a tough sale to "recruiting efforts".

However, when we take the time to learn the features and benefits of our the right prospects and present a solution to the obvious pain...sales can happen virtually on auto-pilot.

When people see you having success selling your "wares" they will ask "how you do it". Then you can open the conversation about them also investing in your company for discounts on the product or possibly building a customer base as well.

KISS - Keep It Simple and Succeed!

How To Tell The Difference Between A Prospect And A Lead In Your Home Business

I do not want anyone to get hung up on it but learning some terminology that applies to the development of your home business can help you lay out a better game plan for your goals.

How To Tell The Difference Between A Prospect And A Lead In Your Home Business

One of the biggest mistakes newbies to the world of marketing a home business can make is focusing on the end result - the sale.

We actually need to be more focused on the front part of a sales system... "the Prospecting". This is the "traffic" that drives your online business.

No traffic =  No Prospects and No Prospects  = No Leads and No sales...Period.

What is a prospect? A prospect is somebody who we feel fits our search criteria or demographic for our home business.

*If you sell fishing supplies it's the guy you see down by the river every weekend with a line in the water.

*If you sell lawn and garden it's the folks perusing that section of the local hardware store.

*If you sell online marketing tools it's the folks hanging out in all the Facebook groups spamming the page grasping in desperation for new business!

The problem with most people selling a product or service is they want to immediately present the solution and they do not know if the "prospect"even has a problem to be given a solution too!

You find that out by asking open ended questions. Drilling down a bit to see if they have a pain....(IE: How do you feel about that?)

Once they divulge the pain then you can offer a solution to the pain and if they are interested enough to at least look at the material ... then they officially become a lead.

In the online marketing world I would call that opting into our email list allowing them to see the solutions we offer.

They are on my list and I have access to them daily. They continue to be my lead until the day they decide to opt out.

Does that make since?

The point of all this is to help people building a business understand it's really all about the prospecting you do on a daily basis.

Prospecting for online marketing is "traffic" ... how much traffic are you driving to your material every day.

That is the "stat" you need to be tracking and studying everyday.

That is how you determine when to scale up your prospecting efforts. When you find the right mix of info ( advertisement) and see the traffic increase to your offers then you can invest a bit more to further increase that traffic.

Scaling up is a whole other blog post but in a nut shell you make a the end of the week or month you use the excess ( what's left after bills are paid) to reinvest into more traffic.

[NOTE: If you are promoting your butt off in various groups and getting very little results it's because you are not getting enough "views" to the message. Once posted you may get seen by just 2- 4 prospects depending on the group. However if you admin your on group and have maybe 20 new members a day joining and you have a pinned post then your ad gets seen 20 times a day or 140 times a week and or 600 times a month! Multiply that by 5 groups and now we are talking some serious prospecting opportunities!

In a nutshell if you want to make more money...Prospect more people.

How To Use Clickbank for Niche Affiliate Marketing

First lesson is simply this - Don't let all the techy stuff get in the way of your marketing. You do not have to write fancy sales pages, create web sites or be a coder to make Online Niche Affiliate Marketing work for you.

Just take a few deep breaths and learn how to leverage the platforms, products and systems already in place.

Question  - Do you need to sign up to some big company to have all the gadgets and gizmo's they offer?

Answer - NO

I run my niche affiliate marketing business on the bare necessities and get along just fine for like $50 a month in over head. Just depends on if I am running any paid advertising or not.

How do I do it?

Again we learn to leverage the platforms already in place.

Blogging  -  I use Blogger ( obviously) as it is Free and I can do most everything with it I need too for basic marketing. You are here reading this aren't you?

Product Resources - Clickbank, JVZoo and EMP ( Elite Marketing Pro)

All can be used for FREE by the way and other than EMP each have multiple categories for you to sell from ... Computers, Business, Food, Home and Garden, Sports and many more!

So...What is a simple, non confusing way to use Blogging and Clickbank together for your niche afilliate marketing business?

Let's break it down...

#1) - Pick a Niche

#2) - Set up your Blogger Blog to talk about that Niche

#3) - Write a blog post or do a video about that Niche - Post it on your blog

#4)  - Within the blog posts direct your readers( traffic) to a product for that niche that may solve a problem or enhance the subject being talked about in your post.

#5)  - You can also add advertising on the sidebars and or other spaces with in your blog theme.

#6)  -  Drive Traffic To Your Blog post

#7)  - Use Social Media to drive the traffic - Post your Blog post with a quick snap shot of it and link it to you blog!

#8) Do this consistently 3-5 times a week! You pick what's right for you on how much and for how many days.

Biggest reason is that a blog helps to start branding your business. It gives you a "Home Base" to work from.

Second -  A lot of social media platforms are not real enthusiastic about affiliate links so if you do the selling or lead generation on your blog you have a lot less risk involved of people not being able to see what you are promoting.

Think of it this way - You are the expert giving solid content on "How To" do this or that. You don't have time to worry about creating landing pages sales pages and all that ... so basically you are outsourcing that to the folks who are writing up all that material. This way they make a buck and you make a buck. .. Win/Win!

Oh, and another major benefit especially if you are selling membership programs, is that you are not chasing friends and family. You are just sharing material on social media and if somebody happens to like it and wants more info ...then you are not chasing them. They are chasing you!

Gotta run - If you are interested in learning more about Clickbank and how to leverage this platform go ahead and check out the following link ==> GO HERE NEXT  and I will catch you again on my next post!

Why You Should NOT Recruit on Social Media ...

If you were just getting ready to kick off your week by hunting for some new people on Facebook, I don't want to spoil your plans.

However, if you're even thinking about using Social Media for business, here’s something you need to know.

Imagine you go to a party. You’re having a good time, hanging out with old friends and catching up with people you haven’t seen in awhile.

Suddenly someone you’ve never met before comes up to you, introduces themselves, and a minute later starts selling you their business opportunity.

Would that immediately turn you off?

You’re there for a party. Not a sales presentation.

Well, that’s how most people who are prospected on Facebook feel.

They are there to look at pictures, connect with friends, and check their news feed to basically kill time and get some entertainment.

NOT to be pitched.

I think when most network marketers hear about using Social Media to recruit, they take it literally, and actually try to recruit people on Facebook.

And that's a BIG mistake.

You don’t sponsor people on Facebook. You connect with them. And only after you make that connection, you move the conversation to your business.

That’s the right way to prospect and recruit with Social Media.

Which is exactly how network marketing superstar Julie Burke, personally sponsored 278 people and built a team of over 8,300 reps, through Social Media.

She reveals her entire step-by-step enrollment strategy on THIS PAGE.

If you want to use Facebook to find people for your team and grow your business, just model what Julie has done.

You can get your hands on her recruiting blueprint right here...

How I Quit Online Marketing and Still Make Money Online!

How I Quit Online Marketing and Still Make Money Online ...I even cancelled my Aweber account!

Huh ? What?  Are you nuts?

I 'm sure a lot of people reading this may think I've gone off the deep end and maybe rightfully so but... I found my "Niche" I found my path to my version of success and it does not include doing everything all the big "GURU"s are doing...Maybe some things but not everything.

Quick back ground - I have been trying to market online now for well over 15 years. Go all the way back to Amway when they switched to Quixtar!  Ya.. That long.  Most of you will not remember that train wreck but it's out there.

So what's the problem -  Here are the walls I continue to run into and I know most everybody out there do as well. Some push through (congrats!) Most do not... (welcome to my world).

Time and Money.

Time - We all have the same 24 hours in a day and one of the first things you have to be able to do is commit to the hours you need to learn marketing and grow your business.

Money - If you want to push you business forward you will need to invest money into it. The reason we get started in a business in the first place is to make more money. However if you do not have the money or the resources to get the are at a disadvantage from the get go, IE ....

*You have to buy courses to learn this stuff... period.  ( I did off and on over the years)

*You have to have money to buy software or tools to get more out of your time. ( I have and still do when it makes since to do so)

* You need money to advertise your business because do not have enough time in the day if you are working full time, raising a family  and have other commitments to contact enough people day in and day out to grow your business effectively.

They are not lazy (most of them) ... it's just the overwhelm and frustration will wear you down and other opportunities come along ... or paying the bills and feeding the family just have to be priority #1 and that's that.

So what am I doing different that you may be able to use to help grow your online marketing business?

I went back to some basics. I am using some verbiage learned from my Amway days. I am leveraging the tools already in place on the internet, the one's that do not cost me a dime... or at least a lot less than many of the programs / tools available out there today.

I'm not being cheap! I have invested" money over the years.... A lot fo money actually.

Amway - went to a couple conventions, bought tapes and books and so forth

Blog training - Bought a $300 course

eBay - Bought into another $300 Course

Blog / Web sites - Paid monthly fees and purchased plug ins

Business Memberships - Can't even begin to count up the money invested monthly on those.

Social Media  - Purchased a few tools and apps to help build the list and save time.

...and so on and so on just like most people are doing today

SO YES ...those investments have given some return and helped to teach me along too have the knowledge I have today! ...but I still was not making any money.

Now I am working on streamlining my business efforts to money making activities instead of just investing and or investing for the sake of investing into the next new training or program that comes out each week... (shiny object)

Here is the RUB,..all the big guru's really do not teach what I am doing because they want you to buy there products and teaching material....they want you dependent on them.

Well why wouldn't they? ... That's why they got into business also. Right? Sure it is!

What  I have figured out for myself, some will agree and some will disagree and that's fine, is that I can LEVERAGE all the FREE platforms out there and let the GURU's do the work for me so that I can still make money online and not take up extra time learning how to do all the following...

All I need to do is send some traffic.

I do not need to write emails emails every day
I do not need to build landing pages every day
I do not need to build sale funnels everyday
I do not need to develop lead generation products everyday
I d not need to do video's everyday
I do not need to write blog posts everyday

I just need to send the traffic to the folks who do and let those funnels  / systems do the heavy lifting for me!!

Make since?

Have I developed some crazy product to teach how to do this?

Have I bought into some guru's program that teaches how to do this and I am sending you to it?

NOPE Again!

Then how are you making any money Jeff?

I sell physical and affiliate products from already existing platforms like ...

..and a couple other E-commerce sites I am starting to work with like Bonanza

I invest my money into physical product ether buying it myself up front and shipping it once a customer purchases or I drop ship it once a customer purchases.

I also then do a little teaching and sharing on Video's / Blog Post and with in Social Media groups where those seeking answers will see other "Affiliate Products" are available.

These affiliate products all have landing pages (well most)  for passive list building  (on there nickle not mine) and ultimately purchases are made that just randomly show up in my accounts. ... normally Click-Bank or JVZOO.

It all came down to this - I like doing a video or a blog posts on occasion, like this one ...and I understand the importance of consistency in building up the SEO and a Following.

There is only so much time in the day and so much money in the budget to run programs that take time to build before you start getting a return on your investment.

Soooooo.... I am more interested in "Quick Turnaround" and that means finding platforms to sell from that get the product sold quicker building up some "cash" to work with but still leaving you room for passive income down the road as you grow.

Make since?

PLUS  - I want to be on the golf course this summer and not in front of a computer screen stressing over an email,  daily blog post or video to keep my ranking up hoping that one post might just be the sale I needed that day...I simply prefer to let the Guru's do that work for me!

Just wanted to say thank you to my mentors and friends over the years ... Chuck Bartok, Chef Katrina and many others for working with me, following me or being on my email list.

I am still around actively working and growing but am no longer doing most of all that is involved in Online Marketing as most come to know it.

I am busy listing and selling products, making the occasional video and yes even writing the occasional blog post but on a different path than what we have been on in the past.

Anybody reading this and wanting to follow a similar path please comment below and we will chat. My sharing of knowledge is always FREE but certain tools and training I recommend still may have a investment attached to them.
